PSP staff fund-raising for BRACE Alzheimer’s research

Charitable staff at PSP Healthcare will be putting their best foot forward in a bid to boost the money they have already collected for BRACE Alzheimer’s research.

Volunteers from the innovative company which operates seven award-winning care homes and villages in the South West and Wales will be taking part in the Bristol Half Marathon in September to boost the funds they have already collected for the charity.

Over the past few months staff from the award-winning PSP Healthcare’s head office have been collecting well needed funds at different events they have been holding across the south west and at some of their seven care homes and villages.

Dedicated staff collected money at the popular Devon County Show, which saw thousands of people visit.

By walking around the show shaking a bucket with BRACE’s logo on they managed to encourage members of the public to part with their money while talking about the cause.

Money will also be raised at the award-winning Angela Court Nursing Home situated in the breathtaking Devon Country-side at a recent Garden party which will be opened by BBC Radio Two presenter Jeremy Vine.

Operations director, Wayne Shermon, said: “I am very proud of my staff for pulling together to raise money for such a good cause and have enjoyed working with BRACE to help raise awareness for not only Alzheimer’s but also Dementia.

“We will continue to raise money over the next few months and we have a handful of staff who will be running the Bristol Half Marathon in aid of BRACE.”

All monies raised by PSP Healthcare for BRACE will be given to the charity in April next year.
