Staff and residents at the award-winning Frome Care Village raised more than £300 during their annual summer Garden Party at the weekend.
Families and friends of residents at the care village helped raise the much-needed funds during the party where they enjoyed live entertainment from a local singer and the Frome Dog Training Club.
Throughout the day cream teas and ice creams were provided by the 60 bed nursing home’s dedicated kitchen team.
A Tombola, toy stall, raffle and table-top sale, which sold hand-made cards, jewellery and bags, were open to guests and a bouncy castle was available for the children.
Care Village Manager, Jill Holmes, said: “Everyone had such a great time at our garden party it was really great to see residents and their families and friends enjoy themselves.
“The entertainment was fantastic. Local singer Kim Lethbridge, managed to get everyone on their feet singing and dancing and the Frome Dog Training Club put on a display of obedience and agility.
“I am really pleased that we managed to raise so much money which will be used for residents’ entertainment and activities.
“At Frome Care Village we aim to hold regular events for our residents which stimulate them and help with their therapy.”
