Residents of the exclusive £10 million Gibraltar Care Village enjoyed a special celebration this week as families gathered to say ‘thank you’ to mums and grandmas on Mothering Sunday.
Throughout the day residents were treated to lots of Mother’s Day cakes and chocolates at their Daffodil-decorated tables before visiting the home’s cinema room where a service was held by the local Baptist church.
Members of the local Baptist church also bought in pot plants for the residents which were gratefully received.
Lots of family members turned up at the award-winning care village to spend time with their mums and grandmas and lavish them with Mother’s Day gifts.
Care Village Manager, Stephane Beaumont, told us: “Every Mother’s Day we try to do something a bit special for our residents and this year was very successful.
“They really enjoyed seeing their families and the special Mother’s Day service that was put on by the local Baptist Church.
“The home looked fantastic thanks to the efforts of our staff and in particular Wendy Watkins who spent a lot of time decorating the home.”
