The award winning retirement development, Gibraltar Care Village, in Monmouth welcomed visitors to its annual summer garden party at the weekend.
Many people from the local area including family and friends of residents at the village and nursing home enjoyed an afternoon enjoying local entertainment by Don Leather as well as a range stalls and games.
Throughout the afternoon cakes and refreshments were on offer and people enjoyed various stalls such as bric a brac, books, a tombola stall and a raffle.
Stephane Beaumont, who is the village and care home manager, told us: “Having a fun garden party each year is a great way to get to know the local residents of Monmouth and also to introduce them to our village.
“We have loads of excellent and fun events happening up here each month so it’s good for people to be able to come along and enjoy it with us.
“Everyone had a great time and the entertainment was brilliant.”
Gibraltar Care Village provides 36 close care cottages and apartments for the over 60s and boasts hotel-style facilities such as a wellness spa, cinema, library and restaurant.
It is the first of its kind in Wales and last year featured on S4C with presenter Sarra Elgan.
