Hatherleigh Nursing Home celebrated its third birthday this week with a party for staff and residents.
The 48-room home, which forms part of the £7m Hatherleigh Care Village development, admitted its first resident exactly 3 years and 4 days ago on 5th December. Staff at the home marked the event with games, live music sing a long with Kathy Scarlett, and a special buffet for residents and their families, including a super birthday cake. At the end all the residents were given a special birthday gift to celebrate the milestone for their home.
Home manager Lesley Cole said: “This year has flown by and it’s been a pleasure to work in such a beautiful environment, surrounded by the Devon countryside. “Thanks as always must go not only to our wonderful Chefs, Activity Coordinators, Office Team and all the many staff on the floor as well as all our visitors from the local community who helped to make the day really special.”
