Big Birthdays celebrated in style

Lou celebrates her 101st birthday A MILESTONE was celebrated at award-winning Angela Court Nursing Home in Tipton St John when one of their residents turned 101.
Lou Turl, who has been a resident at the home since 2006, celebrated her special birthday with the help of dedicated staff at the award-winning home where she spent the day in style surrounded by helium balloons.

The 101-year-old, whose real name is Selina although she prefers to be called Lou, was given a glass of bubbly, a beautiful home-made cake and some presents from her family and friends.

Meanwhile another resident at the award-winning nursing home was also celebrating a big birthday.

Molly Reed was joined by two of her three daughters to celebrate her 90th. They had a special birthday lunch with tea and cakes.
Care Home Manager Bob Allan said: “At Angela Court, it’s important to us that we help our residents celebrate their birthdays in their own way and the care team do everything they can to ensure that each resident’s birthday celebrations are extra special.
