Don’t be late for a very important date at Heanton!

Staff and residents at the award-winning Heanton Nursing Home, near Braunton, are hoping they won’t be late for a very important date as they enjoy their Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.

The themed tea party will see the residents and staff at the 64-bed home, which specialises in the care of dementia, enjoying a day of tea drinking and biscuit eating while wearing home-made hats.

Over the past week residents have spent hours making their mad hats to wear during the party and are now looking forward to their fun-packed day.

They will also enjoy a raffle, guess the weight of the cake and staff will be able to have a dress down day.

Residents staying at Heanton Nursing Home, owned by award-winning PSP Healthcare, will be raising money for the Care Professionals Benevolent Fund (CPBF).

The CPBF, of which PSP Healthcare is a founding member, offers support and security to care professionals who spend their lives caring for others

Last year, PSP Healthcare’s Chairman, Prakash Dewani, donated £10,000 to the charity.

Prakash Dewani said: “There are many people who dedicate their lives to providing care for the vulnerable and elderly. Up until now they have often been neglected when it came to their own difficulties.

“It is therefore PSP Healthcare’s privilege to give something back and help provide support to those who have dedicated their lives to helping others.”
