Kind-hearted staff and residents at the award-winning Gibraltar Care Village proved you’re never too old to raise money for Comic Relief by wearing odd shoes.
Throughout the day elderly residents and dedicated staff at the new £10 million development bought Comic Relief pin badges and ‘gigglers’ from the red nose website.
They also enjoyed small iced cakes with cherries on top in the restaurant, which was decorated with red balloons to celebrate the day.
Fun games such as ‘Pick a Pose’, a game where you pay a donation and choose a celebrity dance pose and if your celeb is under the scratch off part of the poster you win half the money.
More than £88 was raised on the day.
Care Village Manager, Stephane Beaumont, said: “As ever it was good to see all the staff joining in with the residents while celebrating another successful event.
“At Gibraltar Village we try to ensure all residents are stimulated and holding events such as Comic Relief is a fun way of getting them involved.
“I would like to say thank you to all staff that have helped make this event possible and for all their hard work and dedication to ensure as much money was raised as possible.”
