Staff and residents at the award-winning Frome Care Village have raised money for Comic Relief by holding a coffee morning and ‘Bring and Buy’ sale.
The fun-packed event saw more than 40 residents and members of the public enjoy looking through stalls with items such as hand-crafted bags and ‘red-nosed’ cakes for sale.
Coffee and cake, which was being sold for £1 with all proceeds going to the worthwhile charity, were an instant hit with visitors and the tombola was such a draw that the decision was made for it
to continue over the weekend.
Care Village Manager, Jill Holmes, told us: “As ever it was good to see all the staff joining in with the residents while celebrating another successful event.
“At Frome Care Village we try to ensure all residents are stimulated and holding events such as Comic Relief is a fun way of getting them involved.
“I would like to say thank you to all staff that have helped make this event possible and for all their hard work and dedication to ensure as much money was raised as possible.”
